Bonjour, J'ai regardé samedi dernier une superbe émission sur M-A Charpentier sur Arte. Vers le milieu de l'émission, j'ai été particulièrement bouleversé par un air : une cantatrice (avec de grosses boucles d'oreilles en strass) seule avec un orchestre de chambre. J'ai interrogé Arte par mail et ils viennet de m'envoyer l'intégralité des airs diffusés dans cette soirée. Par recoupement, j'ai déduit que ce devait être vous qui chantiez une Cantate de Luigi Rossi . Si le descriptif que je viens de faire et la déduction que j'en ai tiré sont bons, je vous saurai gré de bien vouloir me fournir une référence de CD où je pourrais retrouver votre sublime prestation. Very well recorded but not a disc I enjoyed so I've given it away! I liked the instrumental sounds etc but have to say that there's little memorable music that made me feel I wanted to hear it again. Votre concert Rossi à Gaveau était vraiment magnifique ! Le chant de Stéphanie d’Oustrac m’a complètement bouleversé, - quelle beauté, quelle voix, quel phrasé, quelle présence ! J’etais au bout de larmes pendant le « Mio ben », le « Lasciate Averno », et le « Lamento d’Arione ». La virtuosité et la profondeur de l’expression de votre ensemble est incroyable, la variété des couleurs où la personnalité de chacun se fait entendre est une vraie merveille. Chère madame, tout d'abord, je voudrais vous remercier et vous féliciter pour votre disque " homo fugit velut umbra"  qui est une vraie perle, et que je passe en boucle dans ma voiture, comme un disque de hit parade.... Par ailleurs, il est possible que je manque de modestie et pas de culot, mais pensez vous qu'il serait possible d'obtenir l'une ou l'autre partition chantée de l'une ou l'autre plage? Je suis contralto , coachée par une prof folle de baroque ( comme moi) et j'aurais aimé chanter l'un ou l'autre air de ce disque. Pardonnez mon culot peut être ou ma suffisance, je me rends compte que ces partitions sont la somme d'un travail considérable, et d'un amour de la musique qui l'est tout autant. Donc, je comprendrais fort bien que vous ne répondiez pas à ce mail, estimant que la somme de travail est telle qu'elle ne doit pas être partagée avec n'importe qui, qui vous écrit par internet ...et qui souhaiterais savoir quand vous vous rendrez en Belgique   la prochaine fois. Je vous ai raté au Sablon, et je m'en mords les doigts. Encore merci, de toutes façons, pour le bonheur que représente ce disque. Vraiment. Bien à vous perrette firket

Hallo Christina, ich war gestern eher zufällig auf eurem Konzert in Nishnij Nowgorod und wusste anfangs nicht so recht, ob Barock-Musik mich wirklich ansprechen wird, da ich sonst eher zu "lässigen" Sachen wie Jazz neige. Du kannst dir vielleicht meine Verwunderung vorstellen, die mich überkam, als ich euch hörte, nicht aber meine Begeisterung. Ich bin selten so euphorisch aus einem Konzert gegangen und werde mich jetzt auf jeden Fall erkundigen, ob man hier in Russland auch CDs von euch kaufen kann (wahrscheinlich kritisch...) Noch einen besonderen Gruß an Elisabeth Seitz, die mich mit dem Psaltérion unglaublich verzaubert hat. Ich habe vorher noch nie von einem solchen Instrument gehört, und jetzt in einer solchen Perfektion. Danke! (Bitte ausrichten!) PS: Kann es sein, dass es ein ähnliches indisches Instrument wie das Psaltérion gibt? jetzt aber genug, ich hoffe, ich werde noch einiges von euch in der Zukunft hören... derMalte

I wish you all real pleasure in your music and your visit to London and if there's anything I can do to help you for the gig let me know and I will do my best altho I'm sure your agent will have everything covered. talking of which, the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester have several different sized concert halls and put on a superb range of concerts of International performers including early music, jazz, classical, contemporary etc etc etc I cant think of a better place for L'Arpeggiata to play in the UK, you should get your agent to check them out i've copied this to the RNCM Director of Performance and Programming on the offchance hes into brilliant crossover. sincerely Martin Wild

I've stayed in Bruges till tuesday, but no other concert was of the same level as yours (although there were all of a high level)....thank you very much. Bonjour Christina, je m'appelle Roberto Rizzo et j'ai 26 ans. J'ai déjà parcouru l'itinéraire du violon, de l'alto et maintenant je suis en train de suivre des cours pour l'orgue à l'Académie musicale de Louvain (Belgique). Je participe au monde musical depuis que j'avais 8 ans. J'ai joué dans bon nombre d'orchestres, mais je préfère néanmoins la musique ancienne. Fasciné par cette musique du 16e au 18e siècle, j'essaie d'élargir mes connaissances de cette période. Ceci inclut aussi que j'aime jouer cette musique, autant que possible. Je voudrais vous demander si vous pouviez me passer les références de la musique du disque Stefano Landi. Les deux premières oeuvres me fascinent énormément, le chant du ténor est fantastique (j'ai chanté aussi dans un choeur comme ténor). C'est pourquoi j'aimerais jouer ou chanter ces pièces dans la mesure du possible. Je vous souhaite encore beaucoup de succès et de persévérance dans la façon de manipuler la musique des temps anciens. J'en suis ravi! Cordialement, Roberto Rizzo

And I have a little question.. Is possible to find anywehere notes of songs on thi CD? I'm guitar player and I would be satisfied to play this great music on my own i think then I would feel it better, of course i would like to play this music for my own pleasure only. dear Christina, Last saturday my wife and I were lucky enough to attend to your Tarantella concert at Boughton Aluph Church in Kent in England, and it was fantastic. I was even luckier as i was able to very briefly meet you and meet Lucilla Galleazzi and you both kindly signed my CD copy: I have to confess (althout it was probably very obvious. . . ) that i was completly and utterly star-struck and I am sorry that at the time i was unable to connect two brain cells together: I would have liked to ask about new projects such as the new of a recording of the music of Luigi Rossi that i have read about at the Alpha web site, about your work at the Palazzo Barberini, about other plans to come down to this corner of Kent. All these questions and others appeared as is ussually tha case as I was in the car on my way home: maybe there will be another chance, one can always hope (althogh if this ever happens i will problably restrain myself of asking too many questions. . . ). In a previous e-mail i wrote to you months ago when i was enquiring about your concerts in England I mentioned my daughter Anna who was not with me during the concert: I wish I will be able to bring her one day to hear L'Arpeggiatta 'live' for as i mentioned to Lucilla Galleazzi, 'La Pizzicarella' is a piece that often sparks in my house song and dance and make us all very happy. Please pass on my enthusistic congratulations to Veronika Skuplik, Elisabeth Seitz and Marcello Vitale who were excellent as in deed was the whole of the ensamble: I regret now not having chased more signatures to my program and not had given my congratulations in person especially as Veronika and Elisabeth were only a few metres away from me at the time, but the experience stays with me and it always be a happy memory (the image of so many english middle class people singing 'di-rin-din-di' at Lucilla Galleazzi's request is something that i will not forget. . . ), and if I have the chance in future I will be there with pen and paper like a shameless fan chasing autographs. Bonjour, Je me présente, je suis Alain Gillibert, Président d'une association, Les Fêtes d'Hébé, qui essaie de donner aux amateurs et jeunes professionnels l'occasion de découvrir et pratiquer les danses anciennes, renaissance et baroque, essentiellement à Paris. Je suis très heureux de m'adresser à vous pour deux raisons : 1 - tout d'abord pour vous remercier aussi chaleureusement que possible des grands bonheurs que vous nous avez apportés ces dernières années lors des concerts de l'Arpegiatta à Paris et Sablé. Je garde un souvenir ébloui du premier concert auquel j'ai assisté à Sablé après l'annulation et devant un tout petit parterre. Que d'émotions! Et que d'émotions encore quelques mois après à la Salle Gaveau avec Marco Beasley et Lucilla Galeazzi, puis enfin à Sablé et encore la salle Gaveau en 2004! Pour moi,  ce que vous faites ensemble c'est exactement ce que je recherche et j'ai envie d'entendre, un mélange de la technique la plus exigeante et d'élan vers l'autre. Continuez pour notre bonheur! Dites moi aussi comment être au courant de l'actualité de vos spectacles en France que je peux relayer sur notre site, même si, avec votre popularité croissante, vous n'avez plus guère besoin de notre petit relais. 2 - ensuite plus concrètement vous remercier pour avoir permis à Bruna Gondoni d'être de retour à temps à Florence pour pouvoir assurer la fin de notre stage, après votre concert à Bruxelles. Dear Christina Can you advise me how to get tickets for the 18th September concert in London, I have the Chelsea festival web site for the Tarantella programme in June, but I would most like to go to the All’Improvviso programme with my wife and some friends, so I am desperate to get tickets. I have just come across the Penguin Café Orchestra, and there is something in their music that is also in yours, what I might call the rhythm of ancestral memory, – its as if you’ve heard the music in the past and so it is intuitively accessible. Thanks for any info you can give, this is definitely going to be the musical highlight of a great musical summer for me (complete Beethoven string quartets by the Lindsays, Beethoven 8th and 9th, Nielsen 4th symphony, Ray Lamontagne, Bruckner 9th, Swingle Singers, John Lill, Donovan, Esbjorn Svenson Trio, L’Arpeggiata…) Happy music making Martin Wild

Sehr geehrte Frau Pluhar, ich habe inzwischen zweimal im Radio Ihr wirklich wunderbares Konzert  der Rappresentatione di Anima, et di Corpo vom letzten Sommer in Uetrecht gehört. Ganz begeistert habe ich mir Ihre neue CD gekauft. Es ist ein Genuß sie zu hören. Allerdings habe ich einige Stücke des Livemitschnitts vermißt, die Sie, wie ich in einem Interview hörte, dem Stück hinzufügten. Meine Frage ist nun, gibt es ein Aufnahme dieser Stücke oder besser vielleicht schon bald eine CD vom Konzert? Mit freundlichen Grüßen Regina Lebtag
