I personally believe that among current performers of ancient music you have the most original and magnetic voice. What was my surprise, as I suppose it was for many Baroque music lovers, when flying from Frankfurt to Shanghai last week with Lufthansa I've found your Group in Lufthansa-Channel 1, usually devoted to Classical Music. I am sure that through this initiative you will have many new-comers to "L'Arpeggiata" fans Club, listening your wonderful music while flying at 10.000 m above the earth... I particularly liked "Tarantella" and I am going to buy it next week... Music is life! Qui êtes-vous donc, Arpeggiata ? Formidable rassemblement de virtuoses, talents et âmes hors du commun…comète curieuse bienheureusement accouplée aux étoiles…humains amoureux des échanges qui nourrissent cette musique vivante, éblouissante, qui continue à vibrer quand l’Arpeggiata se tait. Magiciens, alchimistes, défricheurs, tisseurs de sortilèges entre les notes et les voix… Comment vous remercier pour cet état de grâce toujours renouvelée qui marque chaque seconde de vos prestations. Quelles belles âmes doivent être les vôtres. Je constate avec peine que l’année prochaine ne vous verra pas beaucoup dans la pluvieuse Belgique, où de plus en plus d’amis tombent sous votre charme. Nous commençons à envisager de vous suivre dans vos voyages… n’y a-t-il plus une petite place dans vos bagages, entre le théorbe et le psaltérion ?! mi scuso se parlo solo italiano, sono un napoletano che ha avuto la fortuna di comprare ed ascoltare il disco dell'ensamble Arpeggiata, e voglio solo dire che sono commosso della bellezza tanto che ho cercato tutti i dischi del gruppo, devo dire che sono tutti stupendi. Mi piacerebbe se un giorno potessi avere la fortuna di poterla sentire ed ammirare in un concerto dal vivo semmai proprio a Napoli. Io sono un chitarrista per hobby e adoro la musica barocca ed anche le contaminazioni popolari. Mi permetta di esprimere la mia più grande ammirazione, siete super super bravi. The "Hits of the 1600's" pale any of the secular popular music of the late 20th Century. Your contribution to the preservation of authenticism of music created half a millenia away is immeasurable aside from the great pleasure it provides its listeners. Habe gerade im Lufthansa-Radio Ihr Programm gehört und war ganz begeistert … Habe dann auch gleich zwei Ihrer Platten gekauft, die ich wirklich sehr gelungen finde – ich kannte Ihr Ensemble vorher noch nicht. Ich denke, die anderen Sachen von Ihnen werde ich mir auch noch zulegen. Das ist wirklich Musik, die mir Spaß macht. Auch die anderen Sachen aus dem Programm haben mir sehr gut gefallen – banausig wie ich bin, wusste ich vorher gar nicht, dass es so etwas wie ein „Zink“ gibt, ich hielt das immer ausschließlich für ein chemisches Element (und Zinkbecher etc. mag ich gar nicht). Ihr Konzertprogramm ist ja recht weitläufig, aber der 3. Januar 2007, das könnte klappen. Das ist dann aber ja schon eine ganz schön langfristige Planung. Ihnen weiterhin viel Erfolg. J’ai adoré votre concert du 17 février dernier à l’église des Blancs-Manteaux, « musiques de palais et de rue dans la Méditerranée du XVIIème siècle ». Entre autres, j’ai beaucoup aimé la voix et le chant de Nuria Rial ! Egalement les percussions et le jeu de Michèle Claude, auriez-vous une minute pour me répondre et m’indiquer le nom du ou des instruments de percussion, iraniens si je me souviens bien de ce que Michèle Claude m’avait expliqué à la fin du concert, sur lesquels elle jouait. Ihre CD's kenne ich seit Jahren auswending und liebe sie heiss, - Sie life zu sehen, ist aber nochmals unvergleichlich schöner! Ihr Ensemble ist bei weitem das Interessanteste, Spannenste, Orgiginellste was sich seit langem in der Alten Musik gehört habe. Bonjour Madame Pluhar, j'ai découvert L'Arpeggiata en aout dernier et depuis je n'ai décroché. Cette merveilleuse musique impregné au fond de mon ame me fait revivre des temps anciens. Lorsque je vous écoute j`ai l impression de connu comme si cette musique lointaine je l'avait déja entendu. J'ai vécu a Paris sur la rue Charenton, - pres de Daumésnil, - dommage que je n'est pu aller voir vos concert. J`aimerais savoir quand viendrai vous au Québec? Au plaisir de vous rencontrer , peut etre irons nous vous voir en haute jura pour la representation de la tarantella que ma petite fille de 2 ans aime beaucoup. Merci Jean Francois Girard

rebonjour et encore mille et mille bravos mais ca devient banal tellement les eloges fusent de toutes parts pour vos nombreux concerts et disques. le seicento devient ma periode de musique que je prefere et ca va etre dur de l'apprecier autrement que joué par l'ensemble. un ex parmi d'autres : la splendide cantata sopra il passacaglio d'un bel inconnu L. Pozzi ou Pezzi....interprete par nuria rial..c'est a fondre tellement c'est beau..j'espere un disque avec d'autres petits bijoux de ce type...quand les splendides lamenti des operas de cesti et cavalli? Y a de quoi en faire de beaux disques..à defaut d'entendre de bonnes integrales... Quand sortira enfin le dvd et le disque rossi avec veronique gens ? C'est mon disque le plus attendu avec celui des heroines des tragedies francaises par la meme...??? et surtt : pleins pleins pleins de disques et tournees avec l'arpeggiata...car maintenant on peut deja dire des interpretations avt l'ere pluhar et l'apres pluhar.. encor mille fois merci

	J'adore vos disques avec Marco Beasley. Sa voix à elle seule illumine vos enregistrements. En revanche, j'ai moins aimé les concerts où je suis allé à Courbevoie, Sablé ou à Gaveau. Même si les chanteurs sont d'excellents niveaux, sans M. Beasley le charme n'est plus du tout le même.

Je me suis immédiatement procuré vos deux CD La Tarentella et All' Improvvisio que je ne cesse d'écouter, transporté par tous les morceaux, tous plus forts les uns que les autres. Extremely good, indeed ; it exceeded my expectations. A marvellous musical anthology of little poetic and mystic jewels about life, love and death. It brings us back into the interesting transition period from the Renaissance- to Baroque-music. Especially the "Passacaglia della Vita" is superb ; a beautiful melody on a well developed ostinato-bassline, an Italian "Tarantella"-dance as a dance of death. Wonderful, irresistible music, that keeps haunting the music-lover. Perfectly performed by the Austrian Christina Pluhar and her ensemble.

I heard this CD reviewed on air, as well as the title track (several times) on R3 over the week it was released. Absolutely enchanted and intoxicated by it, bought it at once, although I feel slightly guilty that I am betraying the principle of authentic performance, as I wonder how much of the performing style was "made up" to suit the pieces - still, great joie de vivre, and I can't stop listening to it! I'm just writing to say thank you for such amazing music. I have 3 CD's Al'Improvvisso, la Tarantella & Stefano Landi. I only got the Tarantella today, but the other two are constant companions - I listen to them on the bus (I don't drive), whilst walking and I dance to them - outside mainly, on the estuary or beach where I live. Chère Mme Christina Pluhar, Je viens de passer un moment merveilleux sur mezzo, avec le film d'Olivier Simonnet consacré à votre travail et l'ensemble Arpegiatta, et je vous en remercie ! Je m'occupe (modestement) avec mon épouse d'un petit ensemble vocal amateur "I Cieli Immensi" (une 20 taine de choristes) qui a la chance d'être dirigé par Gilbert Parrinello (Dr du conservatoire de Yerres et musicien prof.). Chaque année nous donnons un ou deux concerts avec quelques musiciens prof.et qq solistes, et nous essayons de trouver des pièces peu ou pas connues. J'ai été subjugué par l'âme et l'inspiration que vous avez donné à Luigi Rossi, et ma question est : est-ce qu'il existe des pièces à 4 ou 5 voix ( ou +) de Rossi qui soient disponibles et "abordabes" même pour des amateurs sérieux ? Je vous remercie par avance de prendre quelques instants pour quelques conseils à des passionnés ! Jean-François Bedel. PS : Notre chef, souvent débordé par son travail au Conservatoire, n'a pas toujours le temps de faire des recherches (il le regrette!) et nous essayons, lorsque nous pouvons, de lui suggérer des pistes et de lui proposer des ?uvres; PS2 : bien qu'amateur (mon métier est formateur en ressources humaines et réalisateur vidéo), je suis baigné ds cette musique depuis longtemps -mon cousin est prof de percu. et zarbiste et a fait beaucoup de musique ancienne en Italie, et je travaille (très modestement ) le luth avec un musicien qui nous accompagne souvent ds nos convcerts (Fulvio Garlaschi, théorbiste et luthiste).
