Hi, first ( im a Rock, Grunge type of musician, like Pearl Jam etc.)Classic music is a boring think to me ( maybe Nigel Kennedy, Helene Grimoud or Janine Jansen are nice sometimes ). But your new Cd is the BEST ive ever had the honour to listen at, great amazing music, fantastic i love it its in heavy rotation on my car, mp3 player and at home...I feel like im in hollydays, life gets relaxed and peacefull with this tunes...great i hope i get the chance to see you once live ! Dear Christina Pluhar and L'Arpeggiata After cleaning several tears from an explosion of intense and long time memories I'm able to write your and your musicians this short note.As I was just searching into Itunes from some classical songs (style antico) and one song linked another, then I had the privilege to find you. Dios mio! Your album Los Pajaros Perdidos with a beautiful flying Guacamaya caught my eyes immediately. Then, scanning some of the titles in spanish, I had to try it. It was like an 10,000 volt flash!Please, with all due respect, I had never imagine that a non-venezuelan ensemble could be able to interpret, feel and sing a Golpe Tocuyano or even Curarigueno from the musical capital of enezuela, Lara state in the way you and your ensemble did. Please,who sang "Montilla"? Luciana Mancini? is she a "guara"? (native of Lara state) is she from Venezuela? how in the world was she able to sang with such an emotion? it make my skin shrink! It really hit me! it took me in a thunder to Barquisimeto, Carora, El Tocuyo with the likes of Caraota, Nema y taja; or even Adilia Castillo with her landmark song "A mundo Barquisimeto" Beleive me Christina, I was born and rise in Venezuela and lived in San Feipe, Yaracuy state for many years. It is a neighbor state from Lara. During my life, I had the opportunity to hear and meet the brothers Reyna, Gualberto Ibarreto, Cheo Hurtado, Simon Diaz, Serenata Guayanesa, ensamble Gurrufio and more recently hear Jorge Glen. Also, many gathering with friends and family with excellent cuatro players and singers.Let me tell you Christina, your songs are seconds to none. "Montilla", "Polo Margariteno"; "El Currucha"; the inmortal "Caballo viejo" and many others from your album are just breathtaking for me. Merci pour le concert d'hier soir, vous êtes tous époustouflants et les rappels où les chanteurs sont partis dans un délire total étaient un vrai régal. Et que dire de Mr Capezzuto sur Stu Criatu, la version sur CD me donne le frisson mais là sur scène j'avais les larmes aux yeux de tant de beauté. |
