Dear people of L'Arpeggiata, Recently I was going through a difficult period. There was a enormous build up of tension in my body, because I resisted all sorts of things. Listening to your music was such a relief! All of a sudden life didn't look heavy and depressing, but light and joyful. Every time I heard the song Folia I would need to cry, and consequently laugh because of my sentimentalism. What's in a name! Thank you so much for making this beautiful music. Dear Christina. Thank you so very much for your beautiful music. I was introduced to you and your ensemble one midweek morning a few years ago when I heard "Canta la cicaleta" play on ABC-FM (Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the classical music radio station). I was completely transfixed. That piece took me close to heaven, in fact, I have played it a few times during Communion in our (Catholic) Mass at our local church. I hope you don't mind! I have taken your music to my book group where each of us played a piece of music that meant something to us. I played them "Homo fugit velut umbra" and when I wave farewell to my children riding off to school, my dog and I walk in and play "Ciaccona" - loudly! (I love to watch you all play this one, on YouTube). Oh, the passion of it all, and on your faces, and your sheer enjoyment! One of my sons, 12, says he feels he's home when he walks in and hears L'Arpegiatta playing on our stereo. I have now every CD except for the new Monteverdi album (which I'm sure my husband will buy for my October birthday!). Vor Jahren hatte mir einen Freundin eine CD von L'arpeggiata geschenkt, die seitdem oft gehört wurde. Eigentlich habe ich per Zufall vom Konzerttermin erfahren und konnte glücklicherweise noch Karten bekommen. Ich mag mir meinen Gram nicht vorstellen, wenn ich erst danach eine Rezension gelesen hätte, ohne dabei gewesen zu sein ....! es war ein kollossales Erlebnis, die Freude an der Musik teilen zu dürfen vielen Dank Paul Kramer, Berlin

Liebe Frau Pluhar, nach dem Konzert am letzten Samstag in Potsdam schwingt mir immer noch Ihre Musik im Kopf und begleitet mich durch den heutigen Alltag. Ich hätte eigentlich noch das Bedürfnis Ihnen zu sagen, was für eine gute Arbeit Sie mit ihrem Ensemble und mit Friends gemacht hatten. Vor allem die spürbare Freude am Musizieren, - je weiter, desto besser, desto mehr Freude und Kontakt mit dem Publikum. So wurde die Freude, ihre Freude im wunderschönen Einklang mit der höchster Professionalität, weitergeleitet und gegeben. Sicher war ich nicht die einzige, die es so erlebt hatte, die sich so bereichert und voll von schönen Gedanken und Gefühlen gefühlt hatte. Dafür bin ich sehr dankbar: Ihnen, Ihrem Ensemble, den charismatischen und phantastischen Lucilla Galeazzi und Gianluigi Trovesi, dem Philippe Jaroussky (ah, diese offene und klare Stimme), der magnetischen Anna Dego. Ich freue mich schon auf Ihre neue Meisterstücke, auf andere Konzerten und neue Ideen. Ich bewundere Sie, dass Sie sich mit Arpeggiata so ein Platz im Leben gefunden haben. Gentile Christina Pluhar, Le scrivo questa breve lettera per ringraziarla di cuore del concerto tenuto a Torino lunedì 16 marzo presso il Conservatorio "G. Verdi". Osservando la Sua "Ensemble L'Arpeggiata" su You Tube, poi ascoltando il Cd "Teatro d'amore" Lei mi ha costretto a fare lunedì 16 marzo oltre 650 km tra andata e ritorno per venire ad ascoltare il suo concerto. Ne sono felice, e le posso dire che gli applausi che Vi hanno costretto a salire sul palco 4 volte erano molto sinceri, sopratutto per il fatto che venivano anche dai molti giovani presenti in platea. Personalmente non so oggi se avrò modo di riuscire a venire al Festival D'Ambronay nel quale la Sua Ensemble parteciperà in ottobre, però il fatto di poterLe stringere la mano esprimendole gratitudine per il lavoro che sta facendo a beneficio della cultura musicale (e se me lo permette) non solo, mi stimola molto. La saluto come ho fatto a Torino prima del concerto stringendole la mano e dicendole bonsoir, che è una delle poche parole francesi che conosco. Son "Ensemble Il qui en observe Arpeggiata"su You Tubas, puis le Cd "Théâtre d'amour" en l'écoutant m'a contraint à faire lundi le 16 mars au-delà 650 kms entre aller et retour pour venir écouter son concert. Ils en heureux sont, et je peux leur dire que les applaudissements qui vous ont contraints à monter sur la loge 4 fois étaient très sincères, sopratutto pour le fait qui venaient des beaucoup de présents jeunes aussi en parterre. Je ne sais pas personnellement aujourd'hui si j'ai manière de réussir à venir au Festival D'Ambronay en qui Son Ensemble participera en octobre mais le fait de pouvoir lui serrer la main en leur exprimant gratitude pour le travail qui est en train de faire au bénéfice de la culture musicale, et s'il me le permet, il me stimule beaucoup non seulement. You guys have me in tears daily, either because I'm touched by the beauty of a performance, or from laughing :-D How often do we experience something this free and fun in an "early music" concert? and at the same time of such high quality? I'm a professional singer, and listening to your playing is such an inspiration....How can I ever sing Monteverdi in the "old-fashioned" way again!? 	I saw a fabulous concert on swedish television last night with L'Arpeggiata and P. Jaroussky. There were many unique and for me unknown instruments. I was looking for descriptions of the instruments and can't find any. One guy had had what appeared to be an oboe in curved wood which sounded like a trumpet. What was it?

Dear Christina, probably I am one of many who recently has sent a message to you after listening to your new CD "Monteverdi... " Last year we, as a family of four , had an opportunity to listen to your music and performance in Swidnica and Gliwice in Poland. We truly enjoyed that time and my daughter Martyna who studied singing in The Academy of Music was absolutely enthusiastic about that performance. Before we have met you for the first time we have had a pleasure to listen to all of your records including La Tarantella, Los Impossibles, Stefano Landi etc. and meeting you was the event we were waiting for... During that cold evening in the theatre in Gliwice we have learned that new records is coming in Feb.2009 ... and today that CD is in our hands and our apartment is full of beautiful music of L'Arpeggiata/Monteverdi. Une somme de synthèse et de croisements Je me suis marrée, ça m'a émue, touchée. J'ai adoré. Ils se sont balladé à travers le temps, l'espace, les styles. Gaveau aux anges, le public ravi, vraiment. Dear Christina, I just purchased the Los Impossibles album, and noticed that the "El baile" bonus track on the DVD seemed similar or identical to the 1930's American jazz classic "Caravan" by bandleader Duke Ellington and his band's [Puerto Rican] trombonist Juan Tizol. Were you playing "Caravan," or was it something from which "Caravan" was derived? I hope L'Arpeggiata will become more popular here in the United states. I played All'Improvviso for friends, and two of them have ordered the album for themselves. They found the music irresistible. The clarinet and cornett make the music especially appealing. Hallo Frau Pluhar, ich danke Ihnen und Ihrer Gruppe L'Arpeggiata für einen so wahnsinnig schönen Abend, dass mir dafür die Worte fehlen. Ich bin der, der Sie nach dem Knechtstedener Konzert im Restaurant Klosterhof um das "doppelte", Autogramm gebeten hat. Ich hätte nie etwas von Ihnen gehört, wenn nicht vor etwa einem Jahr der WDR mitten in der Nacht ein Konzert von Ihnen gesendet hätte. Ich zappte nur so ins Programm, und nach 30 Sekunden wusste ich, das ist was ganz Besonderes. Ich nahm die Sendung auf. Inzwischen habe ich mir die DVD ca. 100mal angesehen, habe die All Improvviso-CD und habe das Internet durchforstet, wann Sie in Deutschland auftreten. Die Karten,für Knechtsteden habe ich mir bereits vor Beginn des Vorverkaufs reservieren lassen und die 120 Kilometer zu Ihrem Konzert bin ich gern gefahren. Christina, J'ai eu le bonheur de vous croiser hier soir au concert de Périgueux, mais n'ai pas eu le temps de tout vous dire de vive voix. Je tiens à vous exprimer combien j'apprécie votre musique... Cette véritable passion latine confirme la finesse de vos choix autant dans la sélection du répertoire que dans vos collaborations. Des King's Singers à l'ensemble Furtuna, c'est toujours une surprise pour finalement apparaître comme une évidence. Je repense à l'Audi Coelum que vous nous avez offert avec Philippe Jaroussky. Quel enchantement! Découvrir ces morceaux, pour la plupart méconnus, a été d'une intensité rare. Aura-t-on la chance en 2009, de voir paraître un cd de ce répertoire?
